ALLUVIAMBomb detection App (US Government)
Alluviam provides security solution to prevent bomb and terrorist attacks for US departments like FBI, HOMELAND SECURITY, NYPD and more. One of their solutions is a mobile app to detect the type of the bomb, radius of a possible explosion and to show how to disarm it. It is a highly complex solution with a critical mission. The software needs to have a fast processing and to be really stable otherwise someone can die! The biggest challenge is to provide the app to more devices, as the US Government use Android, iOS and even Desktops in different operations. They needed to deliver the app, running the same algorithms to every device requested. And finally, they also run complex machine learning algorithms offline, on the device.

PINK T-RANOMobile e-commerce to sell cosmetics
Pink Trano is the app of a promising Korean startup, ODOC, which is building a mobile e-commerce to sell cosmetics. This company was our first Premium Customer in South Korea and was really important to open this new market. As a startup, one of the biggest challenges is to deliver the same app to more devices ASAP. Besides that, they didn’t have enough time and budget to create/maintain native apps for each platform. Finally, all the skill set of the tech team was in the backend and machine learning using Java, no skills in iOS or Android apps. TotalCross was a perfect solution to match with the team background and to deliver the app faster to more devices.
COPELField Service app for installation and maintenance of electric sites
COPEL was the first company in the Brazilian electric sector to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is one of the largest electric companies in Brazil. They needed to automate the field service performed by outsourcers and staff, monitoring those teams and managing the equipment used at each service to increase productivity in the field. One of the challenges is to run the app on HandHelds and Smartphones at the same time, as both have different operational systems (Windows CE and Android). They chose TotalCross to make it easier to create/maintain just one app, in Java language, for both platforms. Currently, there is more than 2000 equipment using the app, communicating through a cellular network or even satellites.
ESCOLARIZETutoring app for high school students
Ecolarize provides schools with a platform with several fun tools, according to the school’s methodology and the student’s personal learning time, making the learning process dynamic. This app was created by high school students with no skills on Android or iOS for application development. They needed a simple way to create an application to help their friends pass the final exams at school, but without knowledge of native mobile development, this task was almost impossible for them. Besides the knowledge required to create applications, they have chosen TotalCross to deliver the application to iOS devices without a MacOS equipment, which has a high price in most countries.
WMW SYSTEMSAn ambitious automation project for the sales force
WMW Systems is a software company that markets a solution for external Sales Force Automation. It is an extremely complex solution used by big customers in the Brazilian market with the goal of increasing sales, reducing rework of salespersons and commercial managers, automating from the sale to the order delivery. The WMW software stands out for the impressive numbers of more than 23 thousand requests per day, being used by more than 8,000 sellers. After the migration to TotalCross, they were able to decrease at least 40% of development hours. And related to direct cost (R$), there was a reductionof more than 50% because just one development team could handle all the job for 3 different operating systems (iOS, Android and Windows).
SOVISConnections that multiply results
SOVIS is a company specialized in the field automation that operates in two main areas, SFA (Sales Force Automation) and FSA (Field Service Automation). One of the challenges of SOVIS is the large volume of data stored OFF-LINE, since there are over 2,000,000 in sales made with SOVIS FV. Field teams, when performing work order or perform sales, must be able to conduct operations with or without internet. With TotalCross, SOVIS is able to store large amounts of data on the device and have native application performance.
Automating the collection of field information is a real business need, and this type of equipment can be a strong ally in this process. With TotalCross, the JAVA developer can create apps for Windows CE, Android, Windows desktop, etc. with a single source code.
